UN-Habitat, a UN agency for human settlements, aims to promote transformative changes in cities and human settlements globally. The QUDSI-R4R project in East Jerusalem specifically focuses on strengthening the capacity, business performance, and sustainability of local stakeholders through economic empowerment initiatives.
Job Purpose
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for the comprehensive management and execution of five targeted training courses designed to enhance the practical skills of project beneficiaries and affiliated entities in East Jerusalem. This role involves overseeing the entire training lifecycle, from strategic preparation and curriculum validation to logistical coordination, trainer management, and participant engagement. The primary goal is to ensure that these training initiatives, structured with group sessions and individual mentoring, are effectively delivered, aligned with project objectives, and contribute to the strengthening of beneficiaries' operational capacities and the sustainability of their initiatives, ultimately supporting the economic empowerment goals of the QUDSI-R4R project.
Responsibilities
The Training Coordinator will manage the strategic preparation of training courses, defining objectives, assessing needs, and establishing measurable learning outcomes. This includes coordinating trainers by preparing ToRs, facilitating recruitment, onboarding, and ensuring the development of high-quality curricula aligned with project goals. The role involves reviewing and validating training content for relevance and practicality, ensuring it incorporates applied learning approaches. Logistical arrangements for all training activities, including venue preparation and technical equipment, will be coordinated. Participant management, including registration, attendance tracking, and communication, is crucial. The coordinator will also handle administrative tasks, support assessments, and ensure the distribution of certificates. Quality assurance, risk management, and monitoring of training outcomes through feedback and assessments are key responsibilities, culminating in comprehensive reporting on training completion and lessons learned.
Work Experience
A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience is required with a Bachelor’s degree, or 2 years with a Master’s degree. This experience should include coordinating professional trainings, workshops, or capacity-building programs, managing trainers and external service providers, handling training logistics and participant engagement, and supporting training monitoring and evaluation.
