Responsibilities
The Humanitarian Military Security Coordination Analyst serves as an operational focal point, liaising daily with the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security forces. Responsibilities include assisting with access negotiations for humanitarian convoys, contributing to humanitarian-civil-military and security mapping, and engaging with security management teams. The role involves assessing the security environment to inform and implement coordination strategies, ensuring dissemination and adherence to humanitarian civil-military coordination guidelines among all actors. Additionally, the analyst will maintain contact networks with humanitarian organizations, support the humanitarian coordination structure in interfacing with military representatives, and facilitate communication to resolve operational issues. This includes educating military and police forces on humanitarian coordination dynamics and providing input for management briefings on coordination matters.
Work Experience
Applicants with a Master's degree require no professional experience. Those with a Bachelor's degree need a minimum of two years of professional experience in humanitarian civil-military coordination and security. Experience with the Nigerian Armed Forces, Office suite applications, understanding socio-political conditions, and facilitating meetings is desirable.
