Job Purpose
The Information Management Associate supports OCHA's mission by collecting, validating, and disseminating data crucial for humanitarian response efforts in assigned Venezuelan states. This role is vital for ensuring that humanitarian actors have accurate and timely information to make informed decisions, coordinate responses effectively, and allocate resources efficiently. Key duties include collecting, validating, and disseminating data, ensuring its accuracy and timely availability. The role involves utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or Business Intelligence Software for enhanced analysis and decision-making, and managing information on agreed platforms. A critical aspect is ensuring data is disaggregated by gender and age to inform equitable response strategies. The Associate will support sector leaders with data collection for monitoring tools, contribute to regular reports, and create information products such as databases, maps, and infographics. Collaboration with UN agencies, NGOs, and international organizations is essential for data gathering and analysis within a common framework. The role also includes updating information products, supporting public information activities, and contributing to needs assessments and related reports.
Work Experience
