National Project Coordinator
Organizational Context

The organization focuses on areas such as agro-industry, sustainability standards, climate technologies, and innovative finance, utilizing technical cooperation, research, normative functions, and partnerships.
Job Purpose
To coordinate and implement a project focused on strengthening food safety systems in The Gambia's cashew sector, addressing sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) constraints to improve export capabilities. The role involves updating regulations, building capacity of producers and processors, and enhancing national quality infrastructure institutions.
Responsibilities
Advise on work plans and budgets, coordinate project execution, liaise with government counterparts, manage national project teams and consultants, oversee procurement processes, monitor and evaluate project activities, prepare progress and final reports, and foster partnerships with national institutions and the private sector.
Work Experience
Minimum of five years of professional experience in coordinating the implementation of development/technical cooperation programs/projects at the national level. Experience in assessing country-specific needs and challenges is required. Experience with development agencies, donor communities, private sector, and government institutions is desirable.
