Organizational Context
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is a specialized agency promoting industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization, and environmental sustainability. Job Purpose
This position supports the 'European Union Support for Resilient Mindanao' (EU4Mindanao) Action, a joint UNIDO and FAO initiative aimed at building lasting peace and promoting inclusive development in Mindanao. The role focuses on localizing a humanitarian, peace, climate, and development approach in vulnerable communities, contributing to increased community resilience and strengthened local value chains and economic opportunities.
Responsibilities
Provide operational and administrative support for project activities at the field level, ensuring compliance with UNIDO procedures. This includes facilitating logistics for missions, meetings, and trainings; supporting data collection and documentation; assisting with local procurement processes; and supporting grants management. Maintain regular communication with project teams and stakeholders, and coordinate with other field teams and offices. Duties involve project administration (50%), project finance monitoring and support (25%), budget and reporting assistance (10%), and communication/visibility support (10%).
Work Experience
A minimum of eight years of experience in project administration, accounting, and finance is required. Experience with office procedures, preferably within the UN system or a multicultural environment, is desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and experience with SAP or similar ERP software are required.
Skills
Proficiency in administrative and logistical support, project administration, financial monitoring, procurement processes, and grants management. Strong communication and coordination skills. Experience with UNIDO procedures and ERP systems (SAP) is essential. Familiarity with EU and UNIDO visibility guidelines is also important.
