Organizational Context

UNIDO promotes industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization, and environmental sustainability, aligning with the 2030 Agenda and SDGs. The Climate Innovation and Montreal Protocol Division (TCS/CMP) assists Member States in developing and deploying low-carbon and climate-resilient industrialization solutions. The Montreal Protocol Unit (TCS/CMP/MPU) specifically focuses on facilitating compliance with the Montreal Protocol and its Kigali Amendment, supporting NDCs, and promoting low-carbon technologies.

Job Purpose

To manage the overall planning, monitoring, and reporting for the Montreal Protocol project portfolio, ensuring compliance with Multilateral Fund (MLF) requirements and timely submission of project documentation. The role involves liaising with the MLF Secretariat and supporting project managers in delivering high-quality project outcomes.

Responsibilities

Support the preparation, review, and submission of portfolio and project documentation, plans, and reports according to MLF policies. Analyze project and financial information for planning and decision-making. Monitor portfolio implementation, identify issues, and ensure compliance. Maintain and analyze portfolio data systems for accurate reporting. Assist in preparing project reports and other required documentation. Review and disseminate MLF decisions and guidance. Support project implementation through coordination with stakeholders. Contribute to knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement. Perform other related duties as required.

Work Experience

At least three years of professional experience in planning, monitoring, and reporting. Experience in international cooperation projects and programmes is desirable.
