Its mission, aligned with the 2030 Agenda and SDGs, is to promote and accelerate inclusive and sustainable industrial development. The Directorate of SDG Innovation and Economic Transformation (IET) develops innovative services and partnerships to meet global challenges and attract funding. The Division of Innovative Finance and International Financial Institutions (IET/IFI) focuses on innovative finance instruments and schemes with the private sector and IFIs to catalyze investments in sustainable industrial development.

Job Purpose

To support the Division of Innovative Finance and International Financial Institutions (IET/IFI) in conceptualizing, identifying, developing, and deploying innovative finance instruments and schemes with the private sector and international financial institutions (IFIs) to catalyze and leverage investments in sustainable industrial development.

Responsibilities

Support the identification of new projects/programmes through research and stakeholder interviews. Assist in preparing funding proposals by researching donor priorities and eligibility criteria. Support strategic engagements with financial institutions by identifying and analyzing projects, assisting with partner outreach, and contributing to event organization. Undertake other special projects to enhance learning.
