The Programme Administrator will support the Office of the Managing Director (IET/OMD) in coordinating Directorate activities, facilitating reporting, supporting strategic planning, and enhancing communication.
Job Purpose
To provide programme liaison, analytical, and operational support to the Office of the Managing Director (IET/OMD) within UNIDO's Directorate of SDG Innovation and Economic Transformation (IET). The role involves coordinating Directorate activities, facilitating corporate reporting, supporting strategic planning, monitoring implementation, and strengthening communication.
Responsibilities
Select, organize, and analyze information for background materials, briefing notes, and summaries on strategic and operational matters. Draft sections of strategic documents, management reports, presentations, and correspondence. Coordinate the collection, consolidation, and quality review of inputs from divisions for corporate planning and reporting. Prepare analytical comments and status reports on Directorate performance and programme implementation. Maintain and update tracking systems and management information tools. Contribute to the preparation of senior management meetings and engagements. Draft internal communication materials and coordinate communication activities.
Work Experience
At least three years of relevant work experience is required, with a minimum of two years in programme coordination and international development being desirable. Proven ability to research and analyze information is required. Experience in developing countries and within the UN system or another international organization is desirable. Experience supporting senior management is an asset.
