Organizational Context
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) promotes industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization, and environmental sustainability. UNIDO's mission is to promote and accelerate inclusive and sustainable industrial development in Member States, aligning with the 2030 Agenda and SDG-9. The Directorate of Global Partnerships and External Relations (GLO) manages relations with Member States and partners, including funding partners like the Global Environmental Facility (GEF). The GLO/FPR/GEF unit coordinates funding agreements and supports technical cooperation activities.
Job Purpose
To support the Global Environmental Facility (GLO/FPR/GEF) unit in its functions related to coordinating funding agreements, monitoring projects, and exploring IT-driven solutions for portfolio tracking and reporting.
Responsibilities
Assist in identifying and implementing IT-driven automated solutions for portfolio tracking. Support the coordination, collection, and verification of data for the UNIDO-GEF Annual Monitoring and Reporting (AMR) exercise. Maintain up-to-date project-related data for UNIDO-GEF/GCF/AF portfolios. Engage in other emerging projects to enhance learning experience. Prepare an end-of-internship report.
