Job Purpose

To lead the UNIDO Country Office in Albania, representing UNIDO, contributing to national development goals, managing technical cooperation projects, fostering partnerships, and ensuring effective resource management and reporting.

Responsibilities

Represent UNIDO and maintain stakeholder relations; lead country office activities and contribute to national development goals; identify donor priorities; lead the development, implementation, and resource mobilization for technical cooperation projects; coordinate and report on UNIDO activities; engage with UN system coordination mechanisms; strengthen partnerships with government, private sector, and other organizations; advocate for UNIDO's work; manage country office financial and human resources, ensuring compliance with security and safeguarding policies; apply Results-Based Management.

Work Experience

A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree, 7 years with a Master's, or 5 years with a Doctorate. This includes progressively responsible experience in economic development and technical cooperation at a senior level, experience evaluating country needs, supervising project teams, representational functions, and experience within the UN system. Experience in strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, and data-driven decision-making is desirable.
