Reform Management Associate
Organizational Context
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) promotes inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) in Member States, aligning with SDG-9. UNIDO's strategic framework (MTPF 2026-2029) supports Member States in shaping industries for development, focusing on sustainable supply chains, hunger reduction, clean energy, and cross-cutting priorities like industrial policy, digitalization, and gender equality. The Directorate of Corporate Services and Operations (COR) manages UNIDO's human, financial, and material resources, ensuring the organization's capacity to fulfill its mandate. The Office of Administrative Innovation and Transformation (COR/AIT), under COR, is responsible for coordinating organizational review, developing holistic strategies, and overseeing the modernization of administrative services, while also fostering a robust risk culture.
Job Purpose
To support the Office of Administrative Innovation and Transformation (COR/AIT) in coordinating comprehensive organizational reviews, developing holistic strategies, and designing and overseeing the implementation of modernization initiatives for administrative services, including fostering a robust risk culture within UNIDO's operations.
Responsibilities
Support the mapping and consolidation of organizational reforms, including field reform (decentralization and Field-Headquarters integration), linking them to modernization objectives. Contribute to the development of a roadmap for reform management and operational transformation. Research and compile best practices for administrative service reform and transformation across the UN system and leading international organizations. Support benchmarking, learning, and exposure activities related to administrative service reform. Provide operational support to UNIDO entities on developing key focus areas and operational transformation initiatives, assisting in coordination. Draft briefings, presentations, and reports on UNIDO’s architecture, priorities, and strategies for modernizing administrative services. Perform other related duties as required.
Work Experience
At least one year of work experience in an area relevant to the recruiting office. Demonstrated ability to research and analyze information. Experience in organizational reform processes, particularly within the UN context, is desirable.
