Job Purpose
To provide technical and coordination support for the EU Cambodia-NALS project, aimed at enhancing agricultural food safety in Cambodia by supporting the National Agricultural Laboratory (NALS) in achieving ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and operationalization. This project contributes to resilient food systems, sustainable agricultural development, and increased export competitiveness.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for project planning, coordination, and implementation. Lead and advise on NALS's ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation process. Build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, donors, and international organizations. Act as national focal point, coordinate consultant recruitment, and supervise local project teams. Ensure quality assurance of project implementation, reporting, and budget adherence. Develop and implement communication strategies for project visibility. Facilitate knowledge transfer and capacity building for NALS staff. Draft project progress and annual reports.
Work Experience
A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree, 5 years with a Master's, or 3 years with a Doctorate. Required experience includes implementing technical cooperation/development projects at the national level and supporting laboratories in preparation for ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. Desirable experience includes evaluating country needs, working with government and development agencies, and proven communication, capacity building, technical advisory, and stakeholder engagement skills.
