Job Purpose
The Supply and Logistics Officer reports to the Supply Officer and provides technical and operational support within the Country Office. This role is responsible for managing the supply chains of a small-sized country office, or elements of larger supply operations. The scope includes planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, in-country transport and distribution, and monitoring of supplies, services, and construction works. The incumbent will collaborate with programs to define supply interventions that meet programmatic needs and achieve results for children, while also providing technical and advisory support to governments, national systems, and partners on supply chain management.
Responsibilities
The Supply & Logistics Officer is accountable for Supply Chain service delivery and emergency response, ensuring timely and efficient provision of supplies and services. This includes managing the entire supply chain lifecycle from planning to distribution. The role involves close collaboration with Programme teams and Implementing Partners to align supply chain strategies with programmatic objectives and ensure effective delivery of results for children. Contract Management is a key function, requiring oversight of procurement processes, vendor performance, and risk monitoring. The incumbent will also be responsible for Supply Analytics, generating reports and insights to optimize supply chain operations. Furthermore, the role will explore and promote Innovation, new products, and market-based solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. The officer will support the development and implementation of supply chain strategies, ensuring compliance with UNICEF policies and procedures, and contributing to the achievement of organizational goals in Cambodia.
Work Experience
A minimum of one year of relevant experience at the national and international levels in supply, logistics, procurement, contracting, administration, or other directly related technical fields is required. Understanding of development and humanitarian work is also required.
