Job Purpose
The ICT Intern will provide first-level assistance to users experiencing issues with equipment or applications, support the configuration of computers and printers, and assist with the installation and updating of authorized software. The intern will also help create quick guides and user support materials. Additionally, the role involves supporting the setup, formatting, and updating of operating systems for donation equipment, and assisting with inventory control for these items. The internship aims to provide practical experience in technical support, equipment management, and information security within a dynamic organizational setting.
Responsibilities
Provide first-level technical support to users experiencing hardware or software problems, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently. Assist in the setup and configuration of new computers, printers, and other peripherals, ensuring they are ready for user deployment. Support the installation and updating of authorized software applications, ensuring compliance with IT policies. Develop and maintain user-friendly quick guides and help materials to empower users and reduce support requests. Aid in the preparation of equipment designated for donation, including operating system installation, formatting, and updates. Contribute to the accurate inventory management of donation equipment, tracking assets and their status. Support information security awareness campaigns, educating users on best practices. Assist in verifying the implementation of basic information security procedures, such as Passkey configuration. The intern will gain hands-on experience in a real-world IT environment, contributing to the smooth operation of UNICEF's technological infrastructure.
Work Experience
Previous experience in IT support, equipment maintenance, or information security is desirable. Experience with operating system installation and configuration is a plus.
