Job Purpose
As the conflict in Sudan continues, children are bearing the biggest brunt, with millions displaced and in need of humanitarian assistance. The learning situation is deeply concerning, with 8 million school-aged children out of school, risking the worst and largest education crisis globally. Children have endured months of uncertainty, trauma, and violence, severely putting at risk the future of the country and heavily affecting the wider region. This role is crucial in addressing this deepening children's crisis by supporting the development and implementation of education programmes.
Responsibilities
• Research and analyze regional and national political, health, social, and economic development trends. Collect, analyze, verify, and synthesize information to facilitate programme development, design, and preparation. • Support the preparation of technical reports and provide inputs for programme preparation and documentation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevancy of information. • Contribute to the development/establishment of sectoral programme goals, objectives, strategies, and results-based planning through research, collection, analysis, and reporting of education and other related information for development planning and priority setting. • Provide technical and administrative support throughout all stages of programming processes by executing and administering a variety of technical programme transactions, preparing materials and documentations, and complying with organizational processes and management systems to support programme planning, results-based planning (RBM), and monitoring and evaluation of results. • Prepare required documentations and materials to facilitate the programme.
Work Experience
Minimum of two years of professional experience in education programming, preferably in humanitarian contexts. Experience in conflict-affected areas is an asset.
