The Global Programme Division (GPD) leads UNICEF's global programme agenda, providing technical leadership and support to country and regional offices. The Programme Strategy and Coordination (PSC) Hub within GPD strengthens division-wide performance management, planning, and reporting.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this internship is to support the Programme Strategy and Coordination (PSC) Hub within UNICEF's Global Programme Division in strengthening performance management for REACH, UNICEF's corporate platform for managing and monitoring technical assistance. The intern will contribute to developing and documenting workflows and business processes, managing and analyzing performance data, and preparing dashboards, metrics, visualizations, and reporting products. This role offers practical experience in performance management, data analytics, business process improvement, and organizational reporting within UNICEF's global programme support architecture, connecting technical expertise with programme implementation worldwide.
Responsibilities
Support the development and documentation of REACH workflows, business processes, guidance notes, and standard operating procedures. Compile, clean, validate, organize, and maintain REACH data for performance monitoring and reporting. Develop and regularly update dashboards, scorecards, graphs, and visual products covering performance indicators and operational metrics. Support the preparation of routine and ad hoc analyses, presentations, briefing materials, and management reports. Monitor data completeness, quality, timeliness, and consistency, and follow up with focal points to address gaps. Assist in identifying trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement, translating data into actionable insights. Maintain organized records of methodologies, indicator definitions, data sources, dashboards, and reporting products. Collaborate with PSC Hub colleagues, REACH focal points, and other GPD teams to support performance monitoring and reporting activities. Contribute to the preparation of visual products, presentations, and communications materials for knowledge sharing. Undertake other related tasks to support the PSC Hub's performance management work.
Work Experience
Previous experience in performance management, data analysis, process improvement, or reporting is desirable. Familiarity with data visualization tools and project management principles is a plus.
