Job Purpose
The Partnerships Specialist will support UNICEF Nigeria’s strategic partnerships and resource mobilization agenda. This involves ensuring the quality of donor report submissions, strengthening intelligence on public and private sector partners, and coordinating partner mapping and opportunity analysis. The role also supports integrated funding approaches and contributes to the development of a practical, evidence-based Public–Private Sector Partnerships for Impact Strategy for the 2028–2032 Country Programme. The aim is to enhance UNICEF's engagement with partners to achieve better outcomes for children in Nigeria.
Responsibilities
The Partnerships Specialist will be responsible for Donor Reporting, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions that meet donor requirements and reflect program achievements. This includes preparing donor proposals to secure funding and support UNICEF's programmatic goals. A key aspect of the role is Partnership Engagement and Management, which involves building and maintaining strong relationships with public and private sector partners, identifying new opportunities, and fostering collaboration. The specialist will also be responsible for Knowledge Management, documenting best practices, lessons learned, and partner intelligence to inform future strategies and operations. This includes developing and implementing strategies for partner mapping and opportunity analysis to enhance resource mobilization efforts and strengthen UNICEF's engagement with key stakeholders.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in public affairs, programme management, resource mobilization, external relations, or a related area is required. Experience in partnership development, donor engagement, resource mobilization, and stakeholder stewardship is essential.
