Job Purpose
The Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Senior Expert Consultant will provide critical technical expertise and operational support to secure and expand high-value partnerships, with a strong emphasis on private sector engagement across various markets. This role is instrumental in enhancing UNICEF's high-value fundraising capabilities within the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region. The consultant will assist Country Offices (COs) and Regional Office (RO) teams in cultivating, securing, and managing significant partnerships, thereby increasing the scale and quality of funding for children in ECA. Key responsibilities include designing tailored engagement strategies, facilitating innovative approaches to maximize influence and income from businesses, and developing compelling proposals that align with UNICEF's programmatic work. A deep understanding of UNICEF's mission and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams are essential for success in this assignment.
Responsibilities
Provide expert technical and operational support for securing and growing high-value partnerships, with a primary focus on private sector engagement across markets in the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region. Strengthen UNICEF's high-value fundraising opportunities by developing and implementing strategic initiatives. Support CO and RO teams in cultivating, winning, and managing high-value partnerships to increase the scale and quality of funding for children in ECA. Design and implement tailored engagement strategies for corporate partners, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's programmatic priorities. Facilitate the adoption of innovative approaches to maximize influence and income from businesses. Develop and refine compelling proposals for potential partners, demonstrating a strong understanding of UNICEF's programmatic work and regional context. Collaborate effectively across multicultural teams, including CO, RO, and partner stakeholders, to ensure cohesive and successful partnership management. Conduct research and analysis to identify new partnership opportunities and trends in private sector engagement. Monitor and report on the progress of partnership development and resource mobilization efforts. Ensure compliance with UNICEF's policies and procedures in all partnership and fundraising activities. Contribute to the development of knowledge products and best practices in partnerships and resource mobilization.
Work Experience
At least 15 years of relevant professional experience in private sector engagement, partnership development, corporate social responsibility, or related areas.
