Job Purpose

The Digital Impact Officer will enable the continuous operation of ICT infrastructure and accessibility to ICT solutions and services. This role provides help, support, and assistance with capacity building and knowledge management, while also supporting operational and administrative tasks to assist in the delivery of results. The ICT function is crucial for supporting UNICEF’s mission and strategic plan by enabling programme and operational effectiveness and efficiency through innovation, partnerships, and providing ICT solutions and services in a timely, secure, and safe manner. Failures in this role can have significant operational and damaging impacts on the UNICEF office, affecting its ability to support local counterparts and implementing partners, potentially impacting UNICEF ICT globally and leading to legal or financial repercussions affecting UNICEF’s brand and reputation.

Responsibilities

The Digital Impact Officer is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and accessibility of ICT infrastructure, solutions, and services. This includes providing essential helpdesk support, assisting with capacity building initiatives, and contributing to knowledge management efforts within the office. The role also involves supporting various operational and administrative tasks that are critical for the effective delivery of UNICEF's programs and objectives. A key aspect of the responsibility is to contribute to the overall ICT strategy, ensuring that technology solutions are implemented in a timely, secure, and safe manner, aligning with UNICEF's mission and strategic plan. The incumbent must proactively identify and address potential ICT issues to prevent significant operational disruptions and reputational damage. This involves managing ICT risks, maintaining system integrity, and supporting the effective use of technology by staff and partners. The role requires active participation in projects, collaboration with stakeholders, and a commitment to driving results through innovative and efficient use of ICT resources.

Work Experience

A minimum of one year of professional experience in information technology management and business operations within a large international organization and/or corporation is required.
