Job Purpose

If you are passionate about delivering exceptional People & Culture (P&C) services and contributing to UNICEF’s mission for children, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to benefits administration and offboarding, helping to ensure a positive staff experience across the organization. Under the close supervision and guidance of the People and Culture Officer/Specialist/Manager/Chief, the People and Culture Assistant provides administrative, procedural and operational support and assistance to the efficient implementation of a broad range of Human Resources functions for all categories of staff in his/her office, ensuring accurate and timely delivery that is in compliance with UNICEF HR rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

Key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks include: Support to business partnering, Support in processing of entitlements and benefits of local staff, Support in recruitment and placement, Support in organization design and job classification, Support in learning and capacity development, General HR administrative support. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions, contributing to a positive and efficient working environment for all staff, and ultimately supporting UNICEF's mission to serve children worldwide. The People and Culture Assistant will handle various HR processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing timely assistance to staff.

Work Experience

A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources or administrative support roles is required. Experience in an international organization or UN system is an asset.
