Job Purpose

The Supply & Logistics Associate will be responsible for supporting the planning, procurement, in-country logistics, warehousing, and inventory management of supplies for UNICEF Türkiye. This role involves strengthening national supply chains, exploring alternative delivery mechanisms, and managing supply financing. The associate will also be involved in emergency preparedness, information and data management, and reporting to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of UNICEF's mandate. The position contributes to ensuring that children's rights are protected and their potential is fulfilled by providing essential supplies and services in a timely and cost-effective manner, particularly in development, fragile, and humanitarian contexts.

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities include planning and executing procurement processes and contract management, ensuring timely and efficient in-country logistics, and overseeing warehousing and inventory management. The role also involves partnership, coordination, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen national and government supply chains. The Supply & Logistics Associate will contribute to developing and implementing alternative delivery mechanisms, procurement services, and supply financing strategies. Localization efforts and emergency preparedness are also critical aspects of the role. Furthermore, the associate will be responsible for information and data management, including reporting on supply chain activities. This includes managing customs clearance, emergency logistics, and potentially SAP knowledge. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing supply chain challenges to ensure the availability of critical supplies for children.

Work Experience

At least 6 years of relevant work experience in Supply Management, Contracting/Logistics, procurement, contract management, vendor management, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, customs clearance, supply chain planning, data analysis, or emergency logistics.
