Job Purpose
The Gender Equality Section seeks a Consultant to support the compilation and drafting of key written products for institutional and interagency reporting obligations. This includes the UN System-Wide Action Plan report on gender equality performance for the Chief Executives Board for Coordination, the Annual Report on the Gender Equality Action Plan for the UNICEF Executive Board, and the Global Annual Results Report for donors, partners, and the public. The role requires synthesizing information from various sources into high-quality, precisely formatted reports under tight deadlines, catering to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
Compile and draft the UN System-Wide Action Plan report, tracking UN entities' performance on gender equality for the Chief Executives Board for Coordination. Prepare the Annual Report on progress on the Gender Equality Action Plan for submission to the UNICEF Executive Board. Develop the Global Annual Results Report, primarily for donors, partners, and the general public. Gather and synthesize information from diverse sources across UNICEF and potentially other UN entities. Ensure all reports adhere to strictly defined formats, quality standards, and tight timelines. Collaborate with relevant sections and stakeholders to obtain necessary data and insights. Review and edit content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Contribute to the overall communication and reporting efforts of the Gender Equality Section, ensuring effective dissemination of results and progress.
Work Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience, including experience in the work environment of an international agency, UN, or other international institution.
