Job Purpose
The GESP Evidence and Learning Consultant will lead the analysis, synthesis, and dissemination of evidence and learning outputs from the GESP Programme. This role involves finalizing the cross-country GESP Tracer Study Report using data from Bangladesh and Nigeria. The consultant will also develop a series of learning briefs and organize dissemination events, such as a webinar on gender-responsive skills and livelihoods and wider youth livelihoods approaches. The primary goal is to translate programme evidence into actionable findings and recommendations to improve programme effectiveness, facilitate knowledge sharing, and inform strategic decision-making within the Generation Unlimited (GenU) initiative, which focuses on ensuring young people gain skills and livelihoods.
Responsibilities
Lead the analysis, synthesis, and dissemination of evidence and learning outputs from the GESP Programme. Finalize the cross-country GESP Tracer Study Report, building upon existing country tracer data from Bangladesh and Nigeria. Develop a series of targeted learning briefs that capture key insights and best practices from the programme. Organize and facilitate dissemination events, including webinars focused on gender-responsive skills and livelihoods, and broader youth livelihoods approaches. Collaborate closely with the Programme Specialist (GESP coordinator), Senior Advisor for Global Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, the GenU global team, Country Offices, and GESP implementing partners. Ensure that programme evidence is translated into actionable findings and practical recommendations for programme improvement. Contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives and support strategic decision-making processes related to youth skills development and employability. Support the Generation Unlimited (GenU) partnership's objectives by generating and disseminating evidence on effective interventions for young people.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the analysis of data and development of technical reports and learning briefs from programme implementation. Experience in youth livelihoods, youth employment, or skills-to-work transitions is desirable.
