Job Purpose
The UNICEF Young Professionals Programme offers students from diverse academic backgrounds a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the development and humanitarian sector. Young Professionals will work alongside experienced professionals and, through hands-on assignments and one-on-one guidance, will gain valuable insights into UNICEF’s work while actively contributing to it. The programme also provides an opportunity to build skills that support both academic progress and future career development. UNICEF Thailand is seeking to establish partnerships with universities across the country to offer a structured 4–6 month opportunity for students who are passionate about children’s rights and eager to gain practical experience in digital content creation, digital advocacy, volunteer engagement, and knowledge management.
Responsibilities
Young Professionals will work closely with the UNICEF Thailand teams to support the following activities: Contribute to the development and publishing of digital content on UNICEF internal or external platforms (social media, website, stories, etc.). Support public advocacy campaigns, including brainstorming and creating content and recommending approach/techniques to effectively reach youth or other audiences. Assist with community management and activities for the I Am UNICEF volunteer platform. Facilitate administrative procedures relevant to organizing and documenting volunteer or youth events. Support knowledge management and/or sharing, including archive management and organizing sessions on various topics. The programme offers hands-on mentorship and exposure to UNICEF’s work, allowing participants to build a portfolio of real-world projects and contribute to high-impact initiatives reaching audiences across Thailand and beyond. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the programme.
Work Experience
No specific work experience is required, but familiarity with digital platforms and social media is expected. Willingness to learn and work in a multicultural environment is essential.
