Job Purpose
The Implementation Assistant (G-5) will provide technical and administrative support to ensure the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of implementation partnerships within the country office. This role is crucial for aligning with UNICEF's operational policies and procedures, integrating risk-based implementation partnership management at the Country Office level. The position contributes to the realization of children's rights by supporting programs and ensuring that partnerships are managed effectively to achieve desired outcomes for vulnerable children.
Responsibilities
The Implementation Assistant (G-5) is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the management of implementation partnerships. This includes assisting in the quality assurance of partnership activities, ensuring compliance with UNICEF standards and procedures. The role involves supporting the analysis, monitoring, and reporting of partnership progress, identifying potential risks and challenges, and contributing to timely and accurate reporting. Furthermore, the assistant will support innovation initiatives, knowledge management, and capacity building efforts related to implementation partnerships. This includes facilitating information sharing, documenting best practices, and supporting training activities for partners and staff to enhance overall program delivery and impact.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of relevant work experience in programme support, administration, financial management, or partnership management is required. Experience in a UN or international organization setting is an advantage.
