Job Purpose
The Digital Impact Officer, reporting to the Chief of Operations, is responsible for carrying out broad ICT functions to enable the provision of ICT solutions and services. This role supports UNICEF’s mission and strategic plan by ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of programme and operational activities through innovation, partnerships, and the timely, secure, and safe delivery of ICT solutions. The position is crucial for maintaining the continuous operation of ICT infrastructure and accessibility to ICT solutions, providing essential helpdesk support, assisting with capacity building and knowledge management, and supporting operational and administrative tasks to contribute to the overall delivery of results within the country office.
Responsibilities
The Digital Impact Officer will ensure the continuous operation of ICT infrastructure and accessibility to ICT solutions and services, providing essential helpdesk support to users. This includes assisting with capacity building initiatives and knowledge management to enhance the skills and understanding of staff regarding ICT tools and systems. The role will also support various operational and administrative tasks that rely on effective ICT systems, thereby contributing to the smooth functioning of the country office. Furthermore, the officer will play a key role in assisting with the delivery of results by leveraging technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness across programmes and operations. This involves identifying opportunities for innovation, fostering partnerships, and ensuring that ICT solutions are implemented in a timely, secure, and safe manner, aligning with UNICEF's mission and strategic plan.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in Information Communication Technology, Information Technology, ICT infrastructure management, Network administration, Information security, Telecommunications, Disaster recovery, Business continuity, Capacity building, ICT Project management, or Vendor management is required.
