Job Purpose
The Partnerships Specialist will support UNICEF Bangladesh's large-scale humanitarian operation in Cox's Bazar and its regular development programme. This role is critical for sustaining timely, effective, and accountable results for vulnerable children by strengthening partnerships with donors, government entities, and development partners. The specialist will implement partnership strategies and resource mobilization plans, deepen collaboration with key stakeholders, and facilitate environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, donor engagement, and grant management. The position aims to contribute to predictable and flexible funding, timely donor reporting, enhanced donor visibility, and strengthened compliance within a complex humanitarian-development context.
Responsibilities
The Partnerships Specialist will be responsible for developing and nurturing partnerships with donors and key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and resource mobilization. This includes identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, and managing donor intelligence to support resource mobilization efforts. The role involves comprehensive grant management, ensuring timely and accurate donor reporting, and maintaining compliance with donor requirements. Additionally, the specialist will manage donor visibility and communication initiatives to acknowledge contributions and highlight UNICEF's impact. The position requires active representation of UNICEF in relevant forums, coordination with partners, and knowledge management to share best practices and lessons learned. Strategic advice and support will be provided to senior management on partnership and resource mobilization strategies. The role also involves environmental scanning to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the partnership landscape.
Work Experience
Minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in partnership development, resource mobilization, external relations, public affairs, donor reporting, grant management, programme management, or another relevant area is required.
