Job Purpose

The Digital Impact Associate will support UNICEF's ICT systems, focusing on procedural and specialized activities related to desktop administration, connectivity, and server operations. This role involves installing and configuring ICT system components, orienting users, and maintaining technical documentation. The associate will also serve as a focal point for user requests, ensuring efficient processing and resolution. This position is crucial for implementing UNICEF's Digital Impact Strategy, which aims to leverage the digital world to advocate for children's rights and well-being through Digital Empowerment, Digital Guardrails, Digital Foundations, and Strategic Enablers. The goal is to assist governments and partners in their digital transformation strategies, integrating child rights and mitigating digital threats to safeguard ethical outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities

Perform procedural and specialized activities for UNICEF’s ICT systems, including desktop administration, connectivity, and server operations. Install and routinely configure ICT system components, providing user orientation and support. Maintain technical and user documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Serve as the primary focal point for receiving and processing user requests, troubleshooting issues, and escalating as necessary. Support the implementation of UNICEF's Digital Impact Strategy by assisting in the deployment of digital solutions that promote child rights and well-being. Contribute to the development and maintenance of digital platforms and services. Assist in managing ICT assets and inventory. Provide technical support for ICT-related projects and initiatives. Ensure compliance with UNICEF's ICT policies and procedures. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance digital impact for children. Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. Support cybersecurity measures and identity and access management processes. Assist in incident management and service desk operations.

Work Experience

At least 6 years of relevant work experience in Information Communication Technology, IT support, systems administration, network administration, cybersecurity, identity and access management, business continuity, incident management, service desk, audio visual support, IT project management, or any other related fields.
