Job Purpose

The Partnerships Manager will drive UNICEF's engagement in multi-stakeholder partnerships and collective action initiatives, focusing on mobilizing the influence and resources of private sector partners to advance child rights at scale. This role is crucial for maximizing impact, strengthening collaboration, and delivering sustainable results for children worldwide through strategic partnership development, portfolio management, and cross-organizational coordination. The position requires a proactive approach to building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's mission and objectives. The manager will be instrumental in identifying new partnership opportunities and leveraging existing ones to achieve programmatic goals and enhance UNICEF's global reach and effectiveness in advocating for children.

Responsibilities

Drive UNICEF’s engagement in multi-stakeholder partnerships and collective action initiatives, mobilizing the influence and resources of private sector partners to advance child rights at scale. Through strategic partnership development, portfolio management, and cross-organizational coordination, help maximize impact, strengthen collaboration, and deliver sustainable results for children worldwide. Develop and implement strategies, plans, and guidance related to partnerships. Manage a portfolio of partnerships from inception to implementation, ensuring successful delivery and impact. Develop and present proposals and presentations on partnerships to potential and existing partners. Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams on partnership engagement. Foster capacity building within UNICEF and among partners to enhance collaboration and effectiveness. Manage relationships with partners and senior leadership, ensuring strong communication and mutual understanding. Contribute to communications and knowledge management efforts related to partnerships. Ensure alignment of partnership activities with UNICEF's core values and strategic priorities.

Work Experience

At least 8 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in Partnerships Development, Stakeholder Management, Advocacy with Business, and related fields. Experience working with diverse stakeholders in complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives involving the private sector is required. Demonstrated experience supervising and managing a team is also required.
