Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to conduct a study measuring, describing, and analyzing single-parent households in Morocco, both visible and invisible forms. The study will assess the economic, residential, educational, and relational vulnerabilities faced by children in these family structures, considering developmental stages from infancy to adolescence. It aims to provide both statistical and sociological insights, distinguishing household-level observations from those only revealed at the family nucleus level, aligning with the ENF 2025 conceptual framework for analyzing family structures. The consultant will produce a comprehensive report based on quantitative analysis of survey data, translating raw data into structured, relevant written analyses for policymakers and experts.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive study on single-parent households in Morocco, analyzing both visible and invisible forms. This includes assessing the economic, residential, educational, and relational vulnerabilities of children in these families across different developmental stages. The consultant must produce a report with both statistical and sociological perspectives, differentiating household and family nucleus data. Key responsibilities involve rigorous quantitative analysis of data from the ENF 2025 survey, utilizing statistical software like SPSS, Stata, or R to generate tables and graphs. The consultant will translate complex data into clear, professional written analyses suitable for decision-makers and experts. Additionally, the consultant may be involved in facilitating participatory workshops and will collaborate closely with the HCP steering team, adhering to methodological and confidentiality guidelines throughout the 3.42-month contract period.
Work Experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience in demography or social research, with proven experience in analyzing statistical data from large-scale surveys or studies. Solid experience in writing analytical reports based on extensive surveys is essential. Experience in facilitating participatory workshops is also required.
