Job Purpose
The internship aims to provide a national intern with hands-on experience in social policy programming within UNICEF's Vientiane office. This role involves contributing to various tasks such as translating materials, documenting meeting minutes, assisting with logistical arrangements for events, and supporting communication and media product development. Responsibilities
The intern will provide technical assistance to the Social Policy Section's programming, focusing on supporting the implementation of social policy initiatives. Key responsibilities include translating various documents such as meeting minutes, reports, and agendas from English to Lao and vice versa, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of information. The intern will be responsible for documenting and sharing minutes from meetings, workshops, and discussions with relevant colleagues and partners to maintain clear records and facilitate follow-up actions. Additionally, the intern will assist in the logistical arrangements for meetings, discussions, workshops, and events organized by the Social Policy Section, ensuring smooth execution. A significant part of the role involves assisting with communication and media products related to social policy, which includes drafting program briefs, presentations, and other advocacy materials to support UNICEF's outreach efforts. The intern will also leverage technology, including AI tools, for tasks such as creating PowerPoint presentations, translation, and data analysis, demonstrating adaptability and modern skill utilization.
Work Experience
Experience in translation between English and Lao, both written and verbal. Experience in design and formatting, including creating PowerPoint presentations and cover pages. Ability to use technology, including AI, for various tasks such as creating presentations, translation, and analysis.
