Job Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to provide dedicated national technical, methodological, and coordination support for the finalization, piloting, and institutionalization of the new model of pedagogical practicum under the pre-service track of Subcomponent 2.2 of Component 2 of the IsDB/GPE/OFID Project (Phase II). This role builds on previous achievements, including the implementation of the new practicum model across pilot universities and the development of related materials. In the upcoming academic year, partner universities will pilot revised program elements with specific student groups, requiring sustained national support for practicum instruments, capacity development, mentoring, monitoring, and normative finalization to ensure successful integration and quality.

Responsibilities

Provide national technical, methodological, and coordination support for the finalization, piloting, and institutionalization of the new model of pedagogical practicum. Support the implementation of revised program elements with second-year Tajik Language and Mathematics students, including the introductory practicum. Ensure sustained national support for practicum instruments, capacity development, mentoring, and monitoring. Contribute to the normative finalization of practicum guidelines and materials. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including working groups, RTMC/RITTI, pilot universities, base schools, and international consultants. Guide methodological discussions and provide expertise on competency-based education and inclusive education. Design and deliver training and mentoring for university faculty and school-based methodologists. Translate methodological and normative materials into Tajik. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs under tight deadlines. Support programmatic and policy reform related to teacher education and pedagogical practicum.

Work Experience

At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in education, pre-service teacher education, pedagogical practicum organization, or teacher professional development at policy, management, and operational levels. Demonstrated experience in developing methodological instruments and delivering training/mentoring is required.
