Job Purpose

The Partnerships Officer will assist Partnership Specialists and senior management in supporting engagement with key stakeholders. This role contributes to environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, resource mobilization, and policy influence within the scope of assignment. The primary objective is to provide reliable research, analytical, and coordination support that enhances UNICEF's visibility and contributes to achieving its mission. By gathering, analyzing, and reporting information, the officer will provide fact-based insights to inform partner relationship approaches and support substantive discussions. Capturing relevant information and progress ensures internal information sharing, which strengthens the organization's credibility, fosters trust, and ultimately increases resource mobilization and funding opportunities.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and report information to inform approaches to partner relationships and support substantive discussions with partners. Capture relevant information and progress, ensuring internal information sharing to enhance the organization's credibility and foster trust. Support senior management with well-analyzed information to identify and pursue increased funding opportunities. Contribute to strengthening strategic partnerships, mobilizing resources, and advancing equitable opportunities for all children in South Africa through enhanced partnerships and innovative financing approaches. Leverage additional resources and optimize existing investments to ensure value for money and impact at scale, underpinning the effective implementation of the Country Programme Document (CPD) 2026–2030. Ensure that investments translate into measurable, equitable, and sustainable results for children. Support engagement with key stakeholders, contribute to environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, and policy influence. Provide research, analytical, and coordination support to increase UNICEF's visibility and achieve its mission. Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with donors and other external partners. Support the preparation of proposals, reports, and other communication materials for partners.

Work Experience

At least 1 year of relevant work experience in Programme Management, Partnership management, resource mobilization, donor relations, external relations, stakeholder engagement, interagency coordination, policy analysis, international development, or communications.
