Job Purpose
The Child Protection Officer (Case Management & CPIMS+) will lead efforts to strengthen child protection systems by enhancing case management and information management. This role involves managing the integration and implementation of the Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS+), ensuring ethical and high-quality data management, and building the capacity of partners and frontline workers. The objective is to ensure timely, child-centered case management services are delivered effectively. The officer will provide technical guidance, facilitate training, coordinate implementation with partners, and generate actionable insights through data analysis and visualization to inform programming and policy decisions, ultimately contributing to the formulation of the Country Programme for Child Protection.
Responsibilities
The Child Protection Officer will be responsible for the integration and implementation of the CPIMS+ system, ensuring robust data management, analysis, and visualization to support child protection programming. This includes strengthening case management systems by providing technical guidance and support to partners and frontline workers. The role involves monitoring program activities, reporting on progress, and identifying and resolving challenges in implementation. A key responsibility is networking, coordination, and partnership building with relevant stakeholders, including the Child Protection Sub-Sector and GBV Sub-Sector, to ensure children and families receive adequate support through standard case management systems. Furthermore, the officer will be tasked with capacity building and providing technical support to partners and staff to enhance their skills in case management and information management. This position requires close collaboration with various coordination architectures and working groups to ensure a cohesive approach to child protection services.
Work Experience
A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in Child Protection, Social Work, or Humanitarian Programme Management is required.
Skills
Proficiency in CPIMS+ systems, Database management, Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel advanced), Strong knowledge of child protection principles, Understanding of case management standards, Familiarity with inter-agency coordination frameworks
