Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to strengthen strategic advocacy and communications support for ongoing advocacy and partnership on regional priorities. This will be achieved by developing, coordinating, documenting, and amplifying regional and country-level visibility and advocacy efforts. The consultant will play a key role in enhancing UNICEF's communication strategies and ensuring effective partnership management to advance regional objectives. This position requires a proactive approach to communication and advocacy, contributing to the overall mission of protecting children's rights and well-being across the region.
Responsibilities
Develop, coordinate, document, and amplify regional and country-level visibility and advocacy efforts. Strengthen strategic advocacy and communications support for ongoing advocacy and partnership on regional priorities. Create and implement communication strategies tailored to specific regional and country needs. Manage and coordinate communication activities across various platforms and stakeholders. Document key advocacy initiatives, partnership outcomes, and lessons learned. Amplify the impact of UNICEF's work through compelling storytelling and targeted outreach. Ensure consistent application of UNICEF branding and content strategies. Collaborate with regional and country offices to align communication efforts with programmatic goals. Provide expertise in knowledge management and partnership coordination. Prepare reports for internal and external audiences, including donors. Contribute to the development of advocacy materials and campaigns. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication and advocacy strategies.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in communications, advocacy, knowledge management, and partnership management, preferably in the development/humanitarian sector, with a focus on water, sanitation, climate change, or related issues.
