Job Purpose

The purpose of the incumbent role is to carry out broad ICT functions and enable the provision of ICT solutions and services. This includes ensuring the continuous operation of ICT infrastructure and accessibility to ICT services and solutions, providing help, support, and assistance with capacity building and knowledge management. The role also involves supporting operational and administrative tasks and assisting in the delivery of results in a small-sized office, contributing to UNICEF's mission of saving children's lives and defending their rights.

Responsibilities

The Information Communication Technology Officer will be responsible for enabling the continuous operation of ICT infrastructure and ensuring accessibility to ICT services and solutions. This includes providing help, support, and assistance to users, as well as contributing to capacity building and knowledge management within the office. The role will also involve supporting various operational and administrative tasks related to ICT. A key aspect of the role is to assist in the delivery of results by ensuring that ICT systems and services effectively support UNICEF's programmatic and operational objectives. This involves troubleshooting technical issues, managing ICT assets, and implementing ICT policies and procedures to maintain a secure and efficient technological environment.

Work Experience

A minimum of two years of professional experience in information technology management and business operations in a large international organization and/or corporation is required.
