Job Purpose
This internship offers a structured learning opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain practical experience in logistics within UNICEF's Supply & Logistics unit in the State of Palestine. The intern will support the unit's reorganization and high transaction volume by assisting with document collection, verification, data entry, and uploading into specialized databases for donation processing and approval. The role involves monitoring submission progress, ensuring completeness of information, updating requesters, and aligning outputs with organizational standards under the guidance of the supervisor.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Supply and Logistics Officer, the Logistics Clerk will be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and completing documentation for donation approval requests in the UN 2720 system, liaising with requesters and focal points until final approval. This includes creating new submissions in the COGAT – Mercury System and liaising until approval is received. The intern will monitor submission statuses in UN 2720, COGAT’s MATBASH, and Mercury systems, following up on missing documents and addressing queries. Actions will also be taken for submissions in the Ministry of Environment database. All transactions will be inserted and updated in the supply and Logistics Tracking database, supporting the establishment of KPIs. Requesters will be informed of submission status, and QR codes will be downloaded for pre-clearance. The intern will contribute to reports on submissions and support team members during leave or high workloads.
