Job Purpose
The Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (NO-2) reports to the Deputy Representative and provides technical, operational, and administrative support for the planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes within the UNICEF Cuba Country Office. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective implementation and oversight of evaluations, guaranteeing that results and recommendations are acted upon. The officer will contribute to the new Country Programme Document (CPD) cycle for 2026–2030, aligning with UNICEF's mission to support the realization of children's rights and their potential from early childhood through adolescence.
Responsibilities
The Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer is accountable for setting standards for programme performance planning and monitoring, and supporting the preparation of the Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation Plan (IMEP). This includes providing assistance for the implementation of various evaluations, ensuring they adhere to schedules and methodologies. A key function is the dissemination of evaluation findings and the follow-up on recommendations to ensure their effective implementation. The role also involves networking and building partnerships with government counterparts, development partners, and civil society organizations. Furthermore, the officer will drive innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building within the team, contributing to the continuous improvement of UNICEF's programming and impact in Cuba.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in social development analysis and programming at the international level and/or in a developing country is required.
