Job Purpose
The Senior Programme Associate (Data) will work closely with the Budget Specialist to manage direct cash transfers to beneficiaries via the Humanitarian Cash Transfer Management Information System (HOPE MIS). This role is crucial for collecting, managing, monitoring, and reporting beneficiary information on the HOPE platform, ensuring efficient and accountable payments for Polio, non-polio SIAs, and Routine Immunization activities. The position is essential for the timely processing, management, and reconciliation of beneficiary data and payments, aligning with UNICEF's humanitarian cash transfer policies and improving programme implementation across various health initiatives in Nigeria.
Responsibilities
Manage recipients’ data on the HOPE MIS platform, consolidating data from various sources. Prepare HOPE payment plans and reconcile failed payment lists. Coordinate with data officers on collecting payment verification information and with data officers and HOPE HQ teams to generate regular reports. Provide data insights and recommendations to the Health Section to improve programme efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure the timely processing, management, and integration of beneficiary data, and provide regular reports on the status of cash transfers. This role requires a high level of independence in carrying out tasks related to data management, reporting, and reconciliation for humanitarian cash transfer programmes.
Work Experience
7 years of administrative or clerical work experience in data management, programme management, or cash transfer programmes is required. Experience in beneficiary data systems for humanitarian cash transfers at the field level is also required.
Skills
Strong understanding of management information systems and data collection tools (e.g., KoBo Collect), Experience in beneficiary data system for humanitarian cash transfer at field level, Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, Experience in working with UN agencies or NGOs (UNICEF experience preferred), Experience using Excel or any Database Management System (DBMS), Experience in handling complex and large-scale datasets, Data integration and visualization skills, Experience with health and finance sectors, Excellent communication & presentation skills (written & verbal), Ability to influence others in a multicultural environment
