Job Purpose

This consultancy will provide senior technical expertise and strategic lead for the CDC–UNICEF cooperative agreement, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s global immunization strategy and advancing high-level engagement with CDC and other relevant partners. The role will provide strategic direction, critical guidance, and decision-making leadership across programme monitoring, donor engagement, financial oversight, and reporting. The consultant will act as the central coordination point between CDC, UNICEF technical teams, and global partners, ensuring accountability, visibility of results, and alignment with partnership objectives. To support this work, the Immunization Section seeks a dedicated partnership function to lead and coordinate the management of the CDC cooperative agreement, including donor engagement, programme monitoring, and reporting.

Responsibilities

The consultant will provide senior technical expertise and strategic leadership for the CDC-UNICEF cooperative agreement, ensuring alignment with UNICEF's global immunization strategy and advancing high-level engagement with CDC and other relevant partners. This includes providing strategic direction, critical guidance, and decision-making leadership across programme monitoring, donor engagement, financial oversight, and reporting. The consultant will serve as the central coordination point between CDC, UNICEF technical teams, and global partners, ensuring accountability, visibility of results, and alignment with partnership objectives. The role involves leading and coordinating the management of the CDC cooperative agreement, encompassing donor engagement, programme monitoring, and reporting activities to strengthen immunization systems, accelerate disease control efforts, and respond to emerging public health threats.

Work Experience

Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in immunization programme management, outbreak preparedness and response, pandemic preparedness, implementation monitoring, evidence generation, and disease prevention.
