Job Purpose
The Project Manager will report to the Representative, receiving overall guidance and oversight for key duties and responsibilities. For specific duties, the role will also benefit from matrix management by the Deputy Representative-Operations. The primary purpose of this role is to provide dedicated senior-level project management, strategic coordination, and surge capacity to ensure organizational readiness for the relocation to Diamniadio. This involves overseeing the PBR Process & UNHMU Workforce Implementation, managing Relocation Operations & Logistics Coordination, and leading Change Management, Staff Engagement & Support to ensure a smooth transition and operational continuity.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the PBR Process & UNHMU Workforce Implementation, including the finalization of the UNHMU PBR package with affordability analysis, job descriptions, and organizational charts, and executing a recruitment plan to achieve complete UNHMU staffing by End-November 2026. Additionally, the role manages Relocation Operations & Logistics Coordination, developing and executing a Master Relocation & Handover Workplan with a risk register and seating plans, decommissioning current premises ahead of lease expiry, and finalizing and operationalizing business continuity protocols. The Project Manager also leads Change Management, Staff Engagement & Support by validating the Change Management Task Force (CMTF) Workplan, establishing a functioning Staff Inquiry System with defined SLA response times, and executing the Staff Support Plan (SSP) workshops and interventions to ensure staff are supported throughout the transition.
Work Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in project management, operations management, change management, or a related field.
