Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to generate reliable, disaggregated, and integrated education evidence by analyzing administrative and household survey datasets. The findings will be transformed into analytical reports, knowledge products, and interactive dashboards to strengthen evidence-based planning, budgeting, monitoring, and policy dialogue at national and state levels. These outputs will support UNICEF's national and state offices and be shared with government counterparts to enhance data-informed planning, implementation, and decision-making. UNICEF is actively supporting the Indian government to improve access, retention, and learning outcomes in education, especially for marginalized communities across 17 states, by strengthening evidence-based planning through high-quality data analysis, knowledge generation, and data visualization.
Responsibilities
The Data Analysis Consultant will be responsible for analyzing administrative and household survey datasets to generate reliable, disaggregated, and integrated education evidence. This includes transforming findings into analytical reports, knowledge products, and interactive dashboards. The consultant will support evidence-based planning, budgeting, monitoring, and policy dialogue at national and state levels. Outputs will be shared with national and state government counterparts to strengthen data-informed decision-making. The role involves strengthening evidence-based planning through high-quality data analysis, knowledge generation, and data visualization. Specific tasks include analyzing large-scale administrative and household survey datasets (e.g., UDISE+, NAS, NSS, NFHS, ASER, Census, PGI), utilizing statistical software and data visualization tools, developing Power BI dashboards for interactive data visualization, and producing written reports and presentations that clearly communicate analysis.
Work Experience
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data analysis, monitoring, research, and evaluation within the social sector.
