The Afghanistan Country Office is seeking an Information Management Officer to support humanitarian cash transfer and incentive payment projects by managing beneficiary data and information systems.
Job Purpose
The Information Management Officer (Beneficiary Data) will provide essential technical and operational support to the Project Management Unit (PMU) within the Afghanistan Country Office. This role is critical for the effective implementation of Humanitarian Cash Transfer (HCT) and Incentive Payments projects, focusing on all aspects of beneficiary data. The officer will manage the data analytics and information systems required for these programs, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of data. This includes supporting third-party monitoring, beneficiary registration, and data processing. By ensuring robust information management, analysis, and data protection, the role contributes to evidence-based decision-making and strengthens the overall effectiveness of UNICEF's programming in Afghanistan, ultimately aiming to promote the rights of every child.
Responsibilities
The Information Management Officer (Beneficiary Data) will be responsible for providing direct support to partners and UNICEF users of data systems, ensuring they can effectively utilize the information management tools. This includes managing third-party monitoring activities and beneficiary registration processes, ensuring accurate and timely data collection. A key function is the processing of beneficiary data, including data cleaning and verification, to maintain the integrity of the databases. The role involves significant information management, analysis, and team support, developing dashboards and reports to facilitate evidence-based decision-making across the PMU and Programme Sections. Data protection is paramount, requiring adherence to UNICEF's policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive beneficiary information. The officer will also contribute to capacity building for staff and partners on data management best practices and systems. This position plays a vital role in the operational success of cash transfer and incentive payment programs, ensuring that data supports efficient and impactful service delivery to children and families.
Work Experience
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in Information Communication Technology, Information Management, Beneficiary Data Management, Cash Transfer Programs, Data Protection, Management Information Systems, Data Analysis, Dashboard Development, Third Party Monitoring, Beneficiary Registration, or Capacity Building.
