Job Purpose
The Information Management Assistant supports the WASH Programme and WASH Sector Coordination Team by ensuring the timely collection, management, analysis, visualization, and dissemination of high-quality information to support evidence-based decision-making, coordination, planning, monitoring, reporting, and resource mobilization. The position serves as a key focal point for information management systems and processes, enabling UNICEF, government counterparts, donors, and sector partners to effectively monitor needs, track responses, and ide. This role is critical for strengthening service delivery systems, supporting emergency preparedness and response, promoting resilience, and generating evidence to inform effective programming and resource allocation within the WASH sector in Lebanon.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain WASH sector information systems, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security. Facilitate the timely collection of data from partners, including monitoring progress against targets and identifying data gaps. Conduct data quality assurance checks and implement data cleaning procedures. Analyze WASH sector data to identify trends, patterns, and key insights. Develop and produce regular reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders. Support mapping activities and spatial data analysis to visualize WASH infrastructure and service coverage. Assist in the development and implementation of information management strategies and standard operating procedures. Provide technical support and training to partners on information management tools and processes. Contribute to the development of information products for advocacy, resource mobilization, and reporting purposes. Ensure compliance with UNICEF's data protection and information management policies. Support the WASH team in emergency preparedness and response activities through timely information management support. Collaborate with other information management focal points within UNICEF and partner organizations to ensure interoperability and data sharing.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in information management, data analysis, or a related field is required. Experience in the WASH sector or humanitarian/development context is an asset.
