Job Purpose
The Information and Knowledge Management Consultant will strengthen information management, knowledge management, reporting, and evidence utilization within the national RCCE pillar. This role is crucial for supporting coordination, monitoring, reporting, community insights management, and enabling data-driven decision-making for Ebola preparedness and response activities in Uganda. The consultant will play a key part in ensuring that critical information is effectively managed and utilized to enhance the effectiveness of public health emergency response efforts, contributing to the overall goal of protecting children and communities from the impact of outbreaks.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for enhancing information and knowledge management systems within the national RCCE pillar. This includes supporting coordination efforts, developing and implementing robust monitoring and reporting mechanisms, and managing community insights to inform response strategies. The role involves facilitating data-driven decision-making for Ebola preparedness and response activities. Key tasks include managing data effectively, ensuring its quality and accessibility, and translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders. The consultant will also be involved in developing and maintaining dashboards and reporting systems, analyzing community feedback and social listening data, and providing expertise on RCCE approaches for public health emergencies. Strong report writing and presentation skills will be essential for communicating findings and recommendations to various audiences, including government institutions and UN agencies.
Work Experience
Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in information management, knowledge management, monitoring and evaluation, public health intelligence, or emergency response. Demonstrated experience in supporting public health emergency preparedness and response, working with government institutions, and managing dashboards and reporting systems is required.
