Job Purpose

The Partnerships Consultant will be responsible for strengthening the stewardship, coordination, implementation, reporting, and growth of multi-country strategic partnerships, with an initial focus on strategic regional donors within the Asia and Pacific Regional Office (APRO). This role is crucial for supporting effective partnership management, enhancing donor engagement, facilitating knowledge management, and ensuring seamless coordination across various UNICEF entities, including Country Offices, Area Offices, National Committees (such as UNICEF USA), and relevant headquarters divisions. The primary objective is to ensure the successful delivery of partnership commitments and to actively support future resource mobilization opportunities, thereby contributing to UNICEF's mission of realizing the rights of every child.

Responsibilities

The Partnerships Consultant will lead and manage the stewardship, coordination, implementation, reporting, and growth of multi-country strategic partnerships, with a specific emphasis on strategic regional donors within the APRO. This involves developing and executing strategies for effective donor engagement, ensuring timely and accurate reporting on partnership progress and outcomes, and identifying opportunities for expanding existing partnerships and cultivating new ones. The consultant will facilitate knowledge management related to partnerships, capturing best practices and lessons learned to inform future strategies. A key aspect of the role will be to coordinate effectively across a diverse range of stakeholders, including Country Offices, Area Offices, National Committees, and relevant headquarters divisions, to ensure alignment and cohesive action. The consultant will also be responsible for managing complex partnership portfolios, overseeing proposals, grant implementation, and donor relations to meet partnership commitments and drive resource mobilization efforts. This includes working with private sector donors, foundations, faith-based organizations, and other strategic partners to achieve UNICEF's goals for children.

Work Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in partnership management, grant oversight, donor stewardship, or resource mobilization. This includes experience managing proposals, grant implementation, reporting, and donor engagement, particularly with private sector donors, foundations, faith-based organizations, or other strategic partners. Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and managing complex partnership portfolios is also required.
