Job Purpose
As a Programme Associate (PA) at the G-6 level, you will operate within a pooled function consisting of two PAs reporting to the Quality Assurance Specialist. You will provide support across all Programme Sections, with responsibilities and workload distributed through matrix management accordingly. You will serve as a key link in operational delivery, requiring regular coordination and collaboration with multiple units, including Programme, Operations, Finance, and Supply. The role also involves engagement with external partners, particularly in relation to HACT support. You will provide a broad range of programme, administrative, HACT, and procedural support to facilitate programme delivery. Working as part of a hub of two Programme Associates, you will facilitate the implementation, monitoring, and delivery of programme results by ensuring the timely and effective execution of tasks in line with UNICEF rules and regulations. You will exercise sound judgment, anticipate needs, and recommend actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation, and results reporting.
Responsibilities
You will be required to liaise regularly with multiple units within the office, including Programme Sections, Operations, Finance, and Supply, as well as with external partners such as government ministries, NGOs, and donors. Given recent advances in the development and use of digital systems, including those based on AI, you will also be expected to promote the use of such systems to create efficiencies and streamline repetitive tasks. You will provide a broad range of programme, administrative, HACT, and procedural support to facilitate programme delivery. Working as part of a hub of two Programme Associates, you will facilitate the implementation, monitoring, and delivery of programme results by ensuring the timely and effective execution of tasks in line with UNICEF rules and regulations. Work Experience
Minimum six years of administrative and programme support experience.
