Job Purpose
Under the supervision of the Technology for Development Officer, the consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing the Unified Social Registry (USR) database, as well as ensuring the updating and improvement of the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) platform. They will contribute to strengthening data management systems to support the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of information necessary for planning and implementing humanitarian and social protection interventions. This role is crucial for enhancing UNICEF's capacity to respond effectively to emergencies and support vulnerable populations through robust data management.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the Unified Social Registry (USR) database, ensuring its functionality and scalability. Maintain and improve the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) platform, including data collection, processing, and reporting functionalities. Strengthen data management systems to support the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of information for humanitarian and social protection interventions. Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and security. Provide technical support and training to users of the databases and platforms. Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies and reports to inform decision-making. Ensure that all data management activities align with UNICEF's policies and standards. Document database structures, processes, and user guides. Assist in the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies for data management. Support the integration of different data sources and systems as required.
Work Experience
Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in data and information management and analysis systems.
