Job Purpose

The Digital Learning Consultant will support the Talent Management Specialist in the Supply Community Talent Management unit within UNICEF’s Supply Division. This role involves the needs analysis, design, and development of online learning courses, ensuring their seamless integration with UNICEF’s Learning Management System (LMS), Agora. The consultant will be responsible for creating pages, content, and courses directly on Agora, and will also provide support for end-users and subject matter experts, including facilitating the translation of online learning materials. Additionally, the consultant will contribute to the measurement, evaluation, and monitoring of learning initiatives, providing necessary reports. A key aspect of the role is to act as an advisor to internal stakeholders on all matters related to digital learning, ensuring UNICEF's learning initiatives are effective and up-to-date.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Digital Learning Consultant is to lead the end-to-end process of digital learning development. This includes conducting thorough needs analyses to identify learning gaps and requirements, followed by the design and development of engaging and effective online learning courses. A critical task is ensuring these courses are fully integrated and functional within UNICEF’s Agora LMS, including the creation of all necessary pages and content. The consultant will also manage the technical aspects of course deployment on Agora. Support will be provided to end-users and subject matter experts, which may involve troubleshooting and guidance. A significant part of the role involves supporting the translation of online learning courses to ensure accessibility across different regions. Furthermore, the consultant will be involved in the crucial stages of measuring, evaluating, and monitoring the impact and effectiveness of learning initiatives, preparing comprehensive reports as required. Acting as a subject matter expert, the consultant will advise internal stakeholders on best practices and emerging trends in digital learning, contributing to the continuous improvement of UNICEF's learning and development strategies.

Work Experience

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required in instructional design, learning technologies, and managing the complete production cycle of e-learning courses. This includes proven knowledge or experience in instructional design principles, learning technologies, development processes, and needs analysis.
