Job Purpose
The Digital Impact Associate (formerly ICT Associate) performs procedural and specialized activities related to UNICEF’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems, including desktop administration and server operations. This role involves installing and configuring ICT system components, orienting users, and maintaining technical documentation. The Associate also serves as a focal point for user requests, ensuring the smooth functioning of ICT systems and supporting the operational efficiency of staff. The work indirectly impacts the delivery of organization-wide programs by ensuring that ICT infrastructure supports UNICEF's mission to promote the rights of every child.
Responsibilities
The Digital Impact Associate is responsible for performing routine ICT administration activities, closely collaborating with the Digital Impact team on cross-cutting issues. This includes providing second-level ICT customer service support and performing minimal troubleshooting tasks. The incumbent will work with client departments and staff to handle and resolve routine and minor specialized processes, ensuring the timely delivery of ICT services. Key responsibilities include ensuring that client needs are met expeditiously, ICT systems function as designed, and UNICEF staff are informed about new software releases, tools, and equipment. The Associate may also be required to travel occasionally to other field offices to provide support, contributing to the overall operational effectiveness of UNICEF's ICT infrastructure across different locations.
Work Experience
A minimum of six years of relevant work experience in Information Communication Technology, Information Technology, Telecommunications, IT products, Help desk, User support, Systems administration, Network administration, IT service management, Desktop support, or Technical and Business Customer Support and Services.
